Mark Smithivas

Mark Smithivas is a digital strategist and web evangelist experimenting with new forms of art and communications involving mobile telephony and place-based installations. He has been involved in several online projects, most recently with Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy, and with pioneering internet startup Participate.com. He has also worked on "digital divide" issues with historically disadvantaged communities served by nonprofits such as Partners in Education and The Enterprising Kitchen. Current projects include the FollowMe website (followmechicago.blogspot.com) and the development of an alternate-reality game to be deployed on the streets of Chicago in 2007.
